This weekend has been extremely eventful and productive for us.
1)I got a job with the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau on Friday
2)we found a house to rent on Saturday
3)today, we met with our wedding photographers
4)found a place for the ceremony.
Too much awesomeness for one weekend.
1) my new job title is Visitor Services Specialist. I’m going to be working in the Visitors Center helping run the store, creating promotional materials and campaigns for the city and pretty much anything else that needs to be done. The job’s not full-time right now so I’ll still be waiting tables at Ye Olde King Pizza but I’m very eager to start tomorrow morning
2)Jacob and I have been craigslist stalking and driving around Fayetteville for almost a month trying to find a house (that we could afford) to move into after our lease is up at the end of June. Finally, I found a promising one in our good friends Christine and Jake’s neighborhood. We called and stopped by yesterday morning to meet the owners. They were really sweet and the house is exactly what we were looking for, plus it’s only $30 more a month than we’re spending now!
4) I had always heard that St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable was a really pretty chapel, but we had already decided to also have our ceremony at The Garden Room (where our reception will be) so I kind of forgot about it. Today, on our way back from Fort Smith we drove out to the chapel just to check it out.
Let me just say that the pictures don’t do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful. We were blown away and instantly agreed that we had to get married there. I called the owner right after we left and she said our date is still available. We are meeting with her next Sunday to pay the deposit and discuss the wedding.
I am so excited that everything is finally falling into place.
