I cannot cannot CANNOT believe it’s already almost halfway through November! The holidays are right around the corner and although we won’t be able to really decorate until mid-December (you know, the whole moving thing) I really want to send out ‘real’ Christmas cards this year. I say ‘real’ because we’ve definitely printed Christmas cards and photo gift tags before, but they weren’t exactly sophisticated.
We love Christmas.
And horrible sweaters.
Since this is our first Christmas with the same last name, it’s also probably the only one where we could get away with using one of our fabulous wedding photos and I plan to take advantage of the Beaty’s handiwork. Plus, I can (fingers crossed) combine the Christmas card with a ‘we’ve moved’ announcement.
We’re going to order the cards from Shutterfly. I’ve gotten high-quality prints from them before and they have some really cute holiday card designs so that part was easy. Deciding on a design we both agree on however, not quite so simple. I’m all about the cute patterns and arty photos, whereas Jacob doesn’t want it to come across ‘too serious.’ Oh, and did I mention that my dear husband is adamant that our cards say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays? What a weirdo.
Regardless, here are just a few of the current front-runners:
There’s this one:
And this one:
Oh man, I this one gets me:
Nope, this one. The cuteness. I die.
Aaaah! I can’t decide. I love them all. You’ll have to wait and see which one we chose (although at the rate I’m going, it might not be until next Christmas).
I’m so excited! Does getting this excited about sending out Christmas cards make me old and boring? Don’t answer that, I don’t want to know. . .
