was wonderful as always.
We drove down Thursday night and made a last minute decision to drive straight to a house party in the next town over. It was a fabulous decision. “We’ll only stay a minute,” turned into staying until 2:30 in the morning. It was wonderful to see so many people from college and even high school that I hadn’t seen in years. And that apple pie shot Kevin and Kyle made me take wasn’t too bad either :)
Friday (Christmas Eve) I spent finishing a few presents (sad, I know) and hanging out at my parents house. We went to Christmas eve mass as we always do with Jacob’s parents and spent the rest of the night with mine. It was definitely a little weird to wake up at my parents house on Christmas morning with someone else next to me. It must have been even more weird for Jacob as this was his first Christmas ever not to spend Christmas morning at his parents’ house.
We exchanged gifts and my mom made a heavenly breakfast casserole. I have no pictures except for this one I snapped before we started unwrapping,
but seeing as how most of us were sans showers and makeup, that’s probably for the best.
We headed over to Jacob’s parents house around noon and spent the rest of Christmas day with his family.
Every year all of Jacob’s extended family comes over in the afternoon on Christmas and it’s always so much fun.
This year there were lots of little ones.
which meant lots of toys
Which led to this happening. . .
The Leonard brothers ladies in gentlemen
My poor sister-in-law’s feet were so swollen that all she could do was sit and take pictures.
Can you believe she’s 33 weeks pregnant?
Maddox will be here before we know it!
After dinner we play Dirty Santa. This is not your average game of Dirty Santa. People work on their presents all year long and it’s always a competition for who has the best (or should I say worst) gift.
I hope you all had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did. I can’t believe 2011 is almost here. I’m actually kind of excited because it means I might actually get some free time to unpack some more boxes.
But probably not.

Looks like a great time. The kiddos are adorable.
