Welcome to 2011 friends! I absolutely cannot believe that the millenium Y2K pandemonium was 11 years ago. A lot has happened in my life in the last 11 years. In fact, a lot has happened in just the last 12 months.
I threw the biggest and best party of my life.
And got married that day too.
I spent a week in London and Paris with my new husband.
And I turned 24.
If you would have told me 5 years ago that all of this would have happened by the time I turned 24 I wouldn’t have believed you. In fact, I still kind of don’t believe it’s all real.
This blog had a pretty important year too. In August I switched from a blogspot blog to a self-hosted wordpress format and changed the blog’s name to Jessi Makes Things. I think it’s been really successful, and this blog has become a huge part of my life. In 2011 I hope to make it an even better and more successful.
1. Read 50 books.
Pretty simple. I do 99% of my reading online and am beginning to miss the printed word.
2. Turn my passion for crafting into a profitable side business
I’m already kind of doing this with painting commissions, but hope to expand to an Etsy shop soon
3. Decorate my new home
This one requires time and money. Hopefully, I’ll have it close to where I want it in 12 months.
4. Practice yoga
Hot yoga sounds particularly fun.
5. Set a new race PR
I’d love to run a sub-2:15 half marathon.
