I’m posting this from a different laptop so I only have the images and videos from my phone. I’ll post the rest when I get a spare moment (which unfortunately might not be anytime soon). Last Tuesday we were hit with 6 inches of snow.
Wednesday and Thursday were record-breakingly cold. My office was closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We finally opened back up at 10 a.m. on Friday, but unexpectedly got blasted with another 4 inches of snow that forced us to close the office at noon.
If you’re doing the math, I spent a total of 10 hours in my office last week.
Awesome, right? Kind of. Next week is a very busy work week for me so today I played catch-up with all the work I missed last week. Aaaaand we’re supposed to get another 5 to 10 inches on Wednesday so tomorrow I have to get all of this week’s work completed in case it’s my last day in the office this week. Did I mention that my nephew is going to be born on Thursday? And that Little Rock (where my brother and sister-in-law live) is getting hit with the sam storm? Needless to say, I’m just a little anxious and stressed about how the next few days are going to play out.
On the upside, we got to go sledding on Saturday morning.
Our friends Marlo and David and their kids Aden & Helen happened to stop by. The 6 of us had so much fun.
* IN OTHER NEWS, Eight years ago today Jacob and I went on our first date. We went to see the movie Darkness Falls (I asked him, by the way!) and I was nervous so I made my friend Christine come along. The movie was terrible so we just laughed and made fun of it the whole time. Afterwards, we went to Taco Bell with friends (hey I’m from a small town, it was the cool thing to do). I had forgotten to call my parents after the movie. Long story short, I got in trouble for going to Taco Bell so Jacob had to take me back to my car at the movie theatre. He kissed me (just on the lips, don’t worry) and said, “so are we like going out now?” My Romeo, ladies and gentlemen.
The rest is history. Or least a story for another post.
