I finally found some free time within the last few weeks to work on some craft and art projects I’ve had my eye on and I wanted to share them with you all.
I made Alisa Burke’s butcher paper wreath.
Her instructions were very clear and since my mom had just given me a roll of butcher paper my only cost for this project was the $1.50 I spent on the styrofoam wreath.
I also finally hopped on the ‘gallery wall’ bandwagon. I bought most of these frames at IKEA in March, but just now got around to hanging them.
Eventually I plan to move that red sofa table and fill the entire wall with the frames. Nothing is permanent, but here’s what’s in them currently.
The biggest and center frame is a print of our bridal party from the wedding.
Obviously, it didn’t take long to add Lois to the wall. I edited a photo of her in photoshop and printed it on bright blue scrapbook paper.
The photo on the left is from Jacob’s maternal grandmother’s wedding and the photo on the right is us and the Clarks spending our first New Year’s Eve in the new house. ![]()
This little raised house is from a Congratulations card my parents gave me when we bought our house. ![]()
The ‘L’ is a quick watercolor painting I did and the flower on the right is cut from a magazine.
Recognize this filmstrip?
And finally, a classy family photo from the photobooth at our wedding.
It’s definitely a work in progress, but for now I’m pretty happy with it.
Other recent projects have included:
Elise Blaha’s take on blueberry lemon bread
I’ve also made some art for our guest room which recently got a facelift.
But you’ll have to wait to see the rest!

I live with my husband Jacob and dog Lois in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I love painting, cooking, social media, lipstick and the Razorbacks.

The gallery wall looks great!! I’ve finally got all my frames/prints ready to go I just need to hang them up! I love what you did with the pic of Lois…I may need to whip something like this up for my 2 cats!
oh and omg…that bread looks amazing…I should probably make it.
Thanks Stephanie! I’m really happy with it, but have so many ideas for more frames once I have the money to spend. Pet portraits should always be a priority :)
Forgot to comment, but I LOVE your curtains.
Definitely try the bread, it’s delicious!
