If you follow me on twitter you might have noticed that I was in bee-you-tiful Tunica, Mississippi, last week. What’s in Tunica, you might ask? Casinos. In the middle of cotton fields. That’s the Mississippi Delta for you my friends.
I was there for a work conference on social media. The Symposium on the Use of Social Media in the Tourism Industry to be exact.
There’s something so inspiring about being in a room for three days with other nerds who love social media as much (if not more) than you do. It’s incredibly affirming that I’m in the right line of work.

I came home with about 20 pages of notes and ideas, a slight addiction to blackjack, and enough fried food in my stomach to last a lifetime. Oh, and shingles. But that’s a story for another day.
