Hiking at Yellow Rock

On Saturday we found ourselves with a free afternoon so we hopped in the car with my sister and her fiance Ty and drove thirty minutes to Devil’s Den State Park. The last time we were there we rented cabins for the weekend and hiked the Devil’s Den trail. This time we chose the Yellow Rock Trail, which is a beautiful (and more challenging) 3 mile loop.

After we finished the hike, we cooled off in the creek at the base of the trail. The water was freezing, but it felt great after our sweaty trek.

Even though it was kind of crowded (being a beautiful Saturday and all) we were really impressed with the Yellow Rock trail.

If you’re local or ever find yourself in the area, I definitely recommend the Yellow Rock hike at Devil’s Den.
