She Said Yes

to the dress.

The Dress. You know, the one she’ll get married in and dance all night in and cry lots of happy tears in.

On Saturday, my sister, my mom, her fiancé Ty’s mother, and I made the four hour trek to Brinkley, Arkansas, for a very special appointment. Just like I had done 3 and a half years prior (with a considerably smaller entourage-just my mom and me), my sister Melissa had a bridal appointment at Low’s to find her wedding gown. Low’s is a huge three-story bridal store in the tiny town of Brinkley, and is the place to get your wedding dress if you live within a several hundred mile radius.

We had an appointment at 1:00 and many, many, many dresses later, we found a winner.

It’s beautiful and oh-so-flattering and Melissa looks beyond gorgeous in it. I took a bunch of photos of the glowing bride-to-be, but of course can’t post any of them so you’ll have to use your imagination. At least until next June.

Sometimes I still can’t believe my baby sister is getting married. I can’t wait to be the matron of honor (gulp, that makes me sound so old) and celebrate with the happy couple next summer!
