After our rainy holiday trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, last year with Jacob’s family, we decided to give it another try this year with my family on Saturday.
We sat in horrible traffic on the trip there, so we were all starving by the time we made it into the park. Obviously, the first thing we did was make a beeline for some grub.
And then this happened.
When in Rome, right?
I could barely stop laughing long enough for the poor photographers to snap the photos just looking at my dad in that Santa outfit. AND now we can cross ‘old-timey family portrait’ off the ol’ bucket list.
Oh you want to see it again? Well, okay.
After our photo session we rode a few rides until it got dark.
Oh, and it should also be noted that I was way underdressed for the weather (story of my life) and bought a cheesy Christmas sweater in the gift shop for $22.
Worth it.
After it got dark we watched the Christmas parade and rode the holiday-themed train.
We had to catch the giant tree on the square’s light show (just picture the green tree changing colors set to music. You get it).
Another successful family Christmas outing.
Merry Almost Christmas Y’all!
