Jacob and I have been married for three years today.
We’re not big on elaborate gifts and our plans for the evening include shopping and sushi. That does not mean, however, that I take lightly this wonderful marriage I have with this wonderful man. There is something incredibly comforting in having a partner by your side. Someone to celebrate the good times with and someone to mourn the bad times with. Someone who will laugh at your stupid inside jokes and cheer you up when you’re grumpy. Someone who will let you cry and get angry when you can’t find your favorite sweater, all the while knowing that’s not really what you’re upset about. Someone who will let the dog out at 6:00 in the morning and run to the grocery store for just one ingredient because they know it’s important to you that recipe is just right.
I’ve found that someone and I hope that you will too. It seems like our wedding was such a short time ago, yet so much has happened in the last three years that I can’t begin to imagine what the next three will bring. I love you, Jacob Leonard. Happy Anniversary.
