Oh wow. It’s been almost a month since I logged in and posted a little something to this here blog. Actually, that’s not true. I’ve logged in a handful of times, started a post, then gotten pulled away to a work meeting or something of the like.
Regardless, I DO have quite a bit to say now that my absolute favorite time of the year has arrived, and I have officially survived the ‘busy season’ at my job. But today let’s talk about the bachelorette party I helped throw in Hot Springs last weekend. My darling friend Michelle, the same one from my last post about her bridal shower, is getting married in TWO WEEKS!
We rented two villas on the lake in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and twelve other girls and I tried to show the blushing bride a good time.
So we may have found ourselves at a honky tonk bar at 9 p.m. only to discover that we were about twenty years too young and a cowboy hat or two short. And we may have convinced our shuttle driver to stop at Taco Bell at approximately 2:30 in the morning which is always simultaneously the best and worst decision one can make in the wee hours of the night. But in the meantime, we danced and laughed and cried and danced and laughed even more.
But man, these friends of mine. I am so lucky to have had such wonderful women in my life for the last 13 or so years. I seriously can’t wait to party with them again in two weeks for Michelle’s big day!
