Hit that line, Hit that line

Hit that line! Hit that line!
Keep on going!
Take that ball right
down the field!
Give a cheer. Rah! Rah!
Never fear. Rah! Rah!
Arkansas will never yield!
On your toes, Razorbacks,
to the finish,
Carry on with all your might!
For it’s A-A-A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S
for Arkansas!
Fight! Fight! Fi-i-i-ight!

In case you haven’t heard, my beloved Razorbacks (ranked #3 in the country!) are playing the #1 ranked LSU Tigers this afternoon in the annual Battle of the Boot and the chance for a national championship appearance.

I have never been so excited or nervous for a football game in my entire life.

To get you in the football mind frame, here’s a few pics from tailgating last weekend in Little Rock.

Bonus: Here are a few Gameday Garment shots from this season that never made it on the blog.

This is what Jacob thinks of the Gameday Garments posts.

And LSU for that matter.

Go Hogs!

Game Day Garments: Little Rock Edition

I’m back with another Game Day Outfit. Last week I showed you the maxi dress I made and this week I have a skirt and t-shirt combo to share.

The skirt was a $4 Goodwill find and I simply shortened it by cutting off some length and hemming the bottom. I got the belt for super cheap at Goodwill too. Here’s what it looked like before.

That’s me doing my best Jessa Duggar impression. Get it? Anyone?

I made the necklace using this tutorial. It was extremely easy and a cheap way to spruce up a plain white shirt.

The Razorbacks play two games a year in Little Rock and we always make the 3 hour trip back home. We tailgate all day and then cheer on the Hogs all night. We spent the majority of the day with our friends Autumn and Wes. Remember their wedding? Can you believe that was six months ago?

We also ran into some of our other friends like bridesmaid Christine. Fun Fact: the first time I ever drank was at Christine’s house in 8th grade. We chugged red boxed wine (we stole it from the fridge after her parents went to bed) and I immediately threw up. Good times.

Bee Eff Effs For Eva.

The boys played Ladder Ball. Don’t ask me the rules. No idea.

Arguably, the highlight of the day was when the guy tailgating next to us came over and said he had cooked jambalaya for 50 people and only 5 showed. He insisted we come ‘take some off his hands.’

Don’t mind if I do random guy, don’t mind if I do.

shot_1315683943154  Best decision ever. Those 45 no-shows had no idea what they were missing.

shot_1315684018408 Eventually, after making the rounds to a few more tailgates, we made our way to the stadium. Because the next day was the 10th anniversary of 9-11, every other section was instructed to wear red and white. The students were also given blue shirts.

Our section was supposed to wear white (hence my white tee) but I was a little skeptical that everyone else had gotten the memo.

Thankfully, I was wrong. The stadium looked so cool and patriotic.

An awesome aerial shot by Dad sent me. Sorry, don’t know the source.

Do you guys like the Game Day Outfit posts? Did anyone even make it this far?
